Weekly Update 25/11

Hello all,

New Policies for Reedham Park Sports Club Limited  (RPSC)

Please be advised that  RPSC is adopting two new policies: a ‘Safeguarding Policy’ which includes a ‘Whistle Blowing’ Policy; and a ‘Diversity and Inclusion’ Policy. This is in line with recommendations from the LTA.

Copies of the new policies are available on the club’s website and are on display in the clubhouse. Please take time to familiarise yourself with these.

‘Boggle’ Night

Reedham’s first ‘Boogle’ Night was held on Saturday with a turnout of just under 40. The night was a good mixture of fun, but competitive ‘boggle’. I’d like to thank Pip and Terry for running the evening, as well as anyone else who helped organise!

If you missed out on Saturday then keep an eye for ‘Carols and Barrels’ in December and a quiz night which will take place  in the new year!

Floodlight LED Retrofitting – Courts 4,5,6 & 7

The week commencing Monday December 3rd contractors will return to retrofit LED floodlights to our existing floodlit courts. They will take up to 2 days for each block of 2 courts and will try and leave us with working floodlights each night dependent on not encountering any major weather, wiring or control box issues. During the day 2 courts will be out of action at a time and an inspection cover may need to be lifted on the other courts to check cabling.

Once again we thank you all in advance for your patience and understanding whilst this upgrade work is carried out and hope you all enjoy playing under the new lights.

Winter Shield

Last Friday, saw Team A (Trotter) take on the leaders, Team D (Peachey). The weather was kind and Team Trotter got off to a good start winning the first round 2-1, but things took a downturn for them from then onwards, with Team Peachey running out clear winners at 10.5 to 4.5.

The final match in the first half of the competition sees Team C (Edwards) take on Team B (White) on Friday 30th November, before the Competition takes its Christmas break.

The current standings are Team Peachey 5 points, Team White 2 points, Team Edwards 2 points and Team Trotter 0 points.

Anyone wishing to play in the competition has only to contact johnpeachey07@gmail.com

Results

Reedham’s table tennis team brought home a 7-3 victory to cement their 2nd place in the league.

Hope you had a good weekend,

Edward
